Sleeping Beauty Syndrome is a work that consists of two parts. It deals with microwave technology. You can review Sleeping Beauty Syndrome I here.
It isn’t unusual at all that corvidae (the family to which raven, jaybird or magpie belong to) e.g. begin to copy tone sequences. Especially when the birds are in captivity, this behavior is conspicuous. But a context of the sequence of these copied tones could be first related at the period of the examinations shown in this video work. It is extraordinary that the context between the copied tones and the construction of sentences by the use of those haven’t been related before.
At the time of examination the special behavior of the birds was associated with the over-averaged radiation quantity of phone masts, 200 km to the north of Helsinki.
The whole story is supported by a constructed video which works with found and self generated footage. The video makes the observer believe he is seeing real “daily news”, which was exactly like this broadcasted in Finland. It is tried to disclose the secret of the mysterious, speaking birds.
