Biography

Klaus Pichler

Klaus Pichler was born in 1977. He lives and works in Vienna, Austria. In 1996-2005 he studied Landscape Architecture at the University of Life Sciences in Vienna, Austria and since 2005 he is a freelance photographer, working for international clients and creating free projects. Klaus Pichler is available for commissions and cooperations worldwide; his work is represented by Anzenberger Agency, Vienna (responsible for all media & press related agenda), Anzenberger Gallery, and ROCKELMANN& in Berlin.

Klaus Pichler’s work has won numerous awards, including Kunstpreis der Stadt Knittelfeld (2005); 2nd Prize ‘best in show’ Award, ‘Provocation’ exhibition, NYPH – New York Photo Festival, New York (2011); 2nd Prize ‘Photo Annual Awards’, Teplice/Prague, Czech Republic (2011); Shortlist ‘Objektiv – Austrian Press Photo Award 2011′ (2011); 2nd Prize ‘Bratislava International Portfolio Review’, Bratislava, Slovakia (2011); 3rd Prize ‘Photo Annual Awards’, Teplice/Prague, Czech Republic (2012); 2nd Prize ‘International Portfolio Review’, Vienna, Austria (2012); LEAD AWARD, honorable mention, Hamburg, Germany (2013); and 3rd Prize ‘Bratislava International Portfolio Review’, Bratislava, Slovakia (2014).
