Makoto Sasaki was born in 1971 in Yubari-shi, Hokkaido, Japan. He graduated Osaka University of Foreign Studies, majored in Arabic language, in 1994.
He has received several awards, including Tagboat Autumn Award 2009, The Jury’s Special Award, Tsutomu Ikeuchi Award (2009), Getty Images Japan “Click!
