Recurring fundamentals in her oeuvre are the analysis, use and creation of modular principles, multiples, structures, patterns; and themes referring to the search for identity and utopian ideas, social interaction, communication, and the transformation of urban space. Her work opens new perspectives on unrevealed potentials of disputatious and abondened spaces and initiates processes of urban interventions and transformations.
The solo exhibition at Plattenpalast will feature excerpts from the Container project.
What is the meaning of spatial identification and home in a globalised world shaped by maximum flexibility and exchangeability? The container embodies the global transfer and exchange of goods, culture and information, and a placeless and non-specific architecture par excellence. The work includes documents/cuttings of urban facade elements that were photographed in different countries and are now put together to form new virtual spaces. These virtual spaces are invaginations of very different facades in the interior of a container that, as standard, temporary storage spaces has no specific location and appears in different cities, countries, and continents.
